Runnymede Rivers Celebrations

The celebrations in Runnymede include Skiff and Punting club and a River walk for living well week, in Egham. Including great family days out with Thames river activities: Rowing, Skiffing & Punting, art exhibitions and river walks near Chertsey, Thames, Richmond, Kingston, Egham, Weybridge, Ottershaw, Laleham, Shepperton and Addlestone

There are many regattas held on the river Thames and in Runnymede Rivers, for sport and fitness as well as family days out and things to do in Surrey.

Throughout March to September there will be a Runnymede River Exhibition where you can find out about hidden heritage and history of waterways. There’s free dinghy sailing and Thames Hotel Magna Cart 800th Anniversary Garden is open during Runnymede Rivers Celebrations, by the River Thames.

In March there is a celebration, launch event for the River celebration exhibition. There’s a River themed forest estate community hub spring fayre where there will be refreshments, stands and craft activities. There is also a Window dressing competition.

There’s a Frogs Island fair in May that takes place in Egham. There are also river litter picks at Hammersmith community hub.

In June at Runnymede River, they offer ‘Go with the flow’ a school art project by The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery, near the Thames as well as a Magna Carta Day in Egham and singing picnics in Egham.

Egham regatta attracts young rowers as its one of the largest rowing sports events. Throughout July there is also a Skiff and Punting club, Black Cherry Fair, Chertsey and Shepperton Regatta, Summer River Dipping. All are family friendly events.

August involves a family day out at Chertsey show and the popular annual event – the Egham Royal show which is horticultural and agricultural with British history. It is all part of the Runnymede Rivers Celebration, covering Addlestone, Kingston, Thames, Laleham, Richmond, Weybridge Egham, Chertsey, Ottershaw, and Shepperton

The Chertsey Regatta is held annually and this year is part of the Runnymede River Celebrations. It’s a great family day out in Surrey and offers lots of things to do in Runnymede and Chertsey.

Surrey Fire and Rescue in action on Runnymede Rivers as part of training to keep public safe during hot summer days and waterside walks in Surrey, allowing lots of family events and fun things to do in Runnymede.

Thames Side Brewery is helping celebrate the Runnymede Rivers with local micro brewery beers and keeping heritage alive on the Thames.
