Dementia Carers Support
Dementia Carers Support is a local Club, it is our aim to give back a Social Life to carers with a loved one suffering with Dementia/Alzheimer’s in our area of Runnymede. In the middle/later stages of this terminal illness, it is impossible to have a outing with your loved one suffering from this illness to a restaurant, garden centre, theatre, cinema, etc etc due to the nature of this terrible illness. We give you back a social life together with us. We are told we are a unique Charity, carers tell us we are their lifeline. Throughout the year we hold many outings, including, Cream Teas, Various Shows, River Boat Trips, Kew Gardens, Breakfast Club. Saturday Lunch Club, Fun Art/Craft, and Weekend Away Trips. Sunbury Skiff & Punting Club
Improve your fitness in beautiful surroundings. Skiffing is an active Thames based, low cost sport, suited to all ages and abilities. Skiff is fast yet stable, an ideal boat to learn to row in.
Sunbury Skiff & Punting Club is a friendly Skiff and Punting Club, formed in 2010 by our founding members who believed that Sunbury should have a skiff and punting club to participate in the Sunbury Amateur Regatta, inaugurated in 1877. The club now regularly participates in all events organised by the SRA.
The objectives of the club are to teach, coach and promote skiffing and punting in traditional Thames skiffs and punts. The club continues to improve and expand its facilities and membership, welcoming all ages and abilities of rower and potential rowers.
Rowing in Skiffs can be relaxed or competitive whatever you choose. Not sure; then give it a try; 3-free 1 hour sessions should help you decide.
Parking & Facilities: Located next to Shepperton Open Water Swim, Ferry Lane, Shepperton TW17 9LH.

Thames Side Brewery
Have you tried the artisan craft beers by micro brewery Thames Side Brewery?
The company produces quality beer from their brewing vessels situated on the banks of the River Thames. They currently brew four different beers regularly (as well seasonal specials). Continuing with the riverside theme, they named their beer after birds sharing our river habitat (including one that used to be prevalent in the Thames Valley area, but is now sadly very rare). What’s your favourite beer name? White Swan, Egyptian Goose, Harriet Bitter, Heron Ale, Mallard Mild, Black Swan or Wryneck Rye?
Every pint of White Swan sold generates a contribution to The Swan Sanctuary and the beautiful birds it saves. You can enjoy these beers at various public houses dotted by our rivers.
